28 March, 33 years ago. I was born.

I thought of putting photos of my childhood, but I felt it too personal.

As one I came, and as one I will someday go.

“Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you’re there. It doesn’t matter what you do, he said, so as long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that’s like you after you take your hands away.”
Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451 (1953).

PUTRAJAYA: Four construction workers were killed after the elevator they were in fell from a height of 13 floors at an apartment construction site in Precinct 15H.

Putrajaya OCPD Asst Comm Abdul Razak Abdul Majid told The Star the elevator fell after an apparent mechanical malfunction at about 10.45am.

“All three Indonesian workers, aged between 20 and 40, died on the spot from injuries to their head and body,” said Abdul Razak.

He added that the fourth person in the lift, a Bangladeshi national in his 20s had died at Hospital Putrajaya on Monday afternoon.

Incident happened last Monday. News like this broke my heart. I even thought of this when I was inside a passenger hoist in my construction site today.

I work in construction business. Sometimes in office, sometimes on site.

You know what.

Even if we construction people died in accidents, yes, our news will be on the media, but our names will never be mentioned, and we will soon be forgotten.

Currently I’m involved in a project building a Hotel in KL, Malaysia. I’m with the M&E team.

You know what.

Even if we completed this, I deeply knew I could not afford to stay in this building.

You just look at it. You will feel proud of your effoft, but deep down, only the young beautiful ones will enjoy the building.

You are just forgotten. Like those workers who died in the lift accident on Monday.

The Great Slimming Tea

This morning, during breakfast, my junior engineer proposes a product to me.

“Abang Firdaus, you have diabetes right?, you see, this product good for you. Belalai Gajah slimming tea, this tea can reduce your blood pressure, bla bla bla (product preaching sermon)”.

My supervisor then interrupts, “Aiyah no need those kind of tea. I know one tea can help you, can reduce body weight effectively!”

“Wah, what is that?”, I asked anxiously.

The supervisor shows me a glass of crystal clear plain water.

“It’s called GST hahhahaha”, my supervisor answers happily.”

This experience of being an acting Project Manager in my current job, had a lot of pros and cons.

I still had an engineer's salary, only the workload and responsibility quadrupled.

But it changes my behavior and mindset. A lot.

One of it is that I no longer tend to share a lot of things. Like those Kungfu Martial Art Teachers you seen in movies.

The idea behind Kungfu Martial Art Teacher is that you don’t teach others all your moves.

You shall keep to your self certain secret moves which is could be used against your fellow students should they fight against you later.

Ernest Hemingway - The Garden of Eden

Online Link for Ernest Hemingway : The Garden Of Eden

Anyhow, to be honest, I stopped for breaks and watched this also.

Today is the day of no opinions upon anything. Relaxing like a panda and munching bamboo leaves.

We're all living in Amerika!~

Notes by Youtube user Nikita Guryanov : Video parodies the landing of American astronauts to the moon. The lyrics in the ironic, satirical vein, mocked the fact that the whole world "belong" to the United States.

This is quite true, isn't it?

This is with translation

Midnight Blue

Original Tabs is above link.

Last Monday 23 Feb, I collapsed, upon medical check, my glucose level was 31.1
Blood pressure was 160/90. MC for 2 subsequent days after that.

On 26 Feb, on the way to work, had a car accident. My vehicle was damaged. And
tomorrow I'll be on leave to settle insurance claims and workshop repair.

Physically weak last week, maybe body adjusting to new diet and medication

or sort. Did collapse last Friday but I was lucky I was with my colleagues and it was not on site.

On medication still, and still recuperating but God-wills, everything

will somehow turn up ok. Like always, God wills.

To all, wish you guys a good blessed happy life. Embrace tonight's midnight blue.

MIDNIGHT BLUE (translation)
Performed by: KISSME QUICK
Lyrics & Composition: TAKE
Arrangement: Yamashita Yousuke

Embrace the midnight blue
Once you board the bus at 0 am tonight, midnight blue
Because just once is enough to do it

Dragged here by my dreams, I’m sweat-drenched lonely
I pull in a conversation partner, the TV switch
For tomorrow, I’ll be in the trash of the city I longed for
I want to touch the main street soon

My eyes alone should be only looking up
Because that’s the only way

Embrace the midnight blue
Once you board the bus at 0 am tonight, midnight blue
Because just once is enough to do it
