Christmas Entry 2 : Random Stuff in Life
A very funny packaging for rubbish plastic bag I found during shopping at Tesco Kajang.
Life must be depressing enough in Malaysia, for someone to have an idea to to put motivational quotes on rubbish bags.
Christmas Entry 1 : marriage planning 2015
And so below, with or without words, photos summarising my experience of planning my own marriage, expected on March 2016.

Euphoria
If you play guitars, keyboards, or whatever musical instrument you can play, then having an opportunity to have fun at a music studio to jam with your buddies,
At first you want to get it right with your buddies.
(first few plays just to warm up)
Then if it all works out, everybody had fun and able to play each instrument at their best capacity,
You will feel some kind of vibe.
Without words, you know there's a certain heart-work going on.
These soundtrack symbolises that.
For musicians, I guess these are the euphoric moments of their life.
Wish you guys a nice weekend.

May pretty horses comes to you as you sleep
Excerpt below :-
This song is about feeling powerless. Note all the quotes in the song. It is someone repeating mantras of sanity over and over “we don’t really want a monster taking over” “over my dead body” and yet that’s exactly what happened.
This stuff was written back in the buildup to war, when there where marches in the streets and people shouting, all of which didn’t do a damn thing.
George Bellows - River Front 1 (1915)
Thom Yorke (who was very much involved in that shouting) is writing about how powerless it made him and all of us feel to know that there was not a damn thing you could do to stop it, even though he knew how crazy it was.
The urge to go to sleep is not just the goverments’ desire to make you forget, but also your own, to avoid the guilt of letting this happen.
George Bellows - Edith Cavell (1918)
I think the “tiptoe around, tie him down” thing is about the realization that the sort of peacenik thinking that we had become accustomed to, the leaders actually paying attention to the populace, isn’t going to work with these people.
George Bellows - Steaming Streets (1908)
Radiohead have actually said in interviews that this album isn’t about the war or Bush and Blair but about how powerless they felt in the whole mess, so I think this is justified.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Go_to_Sleep
Directed by Alex Rutterford, the CGI-animated video shows a full-blossom red rose swaying in the wind, and proceeds to show Yorke sitting on a park bench singing the song while around him men and women in business suits walk by rapidly.
In the middle of the video, the buildings, in classical architecture style, spontaneously crumble into pieces and moments later reassemble themselves, only to have become modern in style. The shot returns to the rose shown in the beginning, which is now closed in a bud.
George Bellows - Central Park (1905)
-beyondthispunkt/firdaus-9898
I felt this resonates the helpless feeling in me now.
Reflecting back at Malaysia’s street rallies Bersih 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, people’s power shouting march, the demonstration, the call for change, the call for eradicating corruption, what does that mean now?
I remembered back in my student days reading Nyanyi Sunyi Seorang Bisu (Lonely singing by a Mute) by Pramoedya Ananta Toer.
We are nothing. We are helpless.

bureau-critics
I laugh until my head almost comes off, when attending meetings with my current Korean main-con, because, sometimes each department head answers to the Client and Architect = "Sorry I do not know, it's other Department responsibility".
QA/QC Dept, Mechanical Dept, Electrical Dept, Design Dept, this Dept that Dept but no cohesiveness in action, with each representative only covers their own butt.
Dept = Department
For them, at least their butt is saved for another day, another meeting next coming week.
But in the long run, Malaysian construction community perceives that, Japan and Korean, no matter how technological advanced they are, behaves more or less the same with the locals, or the foreign Chinese.
So why bother paying high cost to foreign contractors when the butt-saving practices is more or less the same?
I think this culture is being made as a protective shell for the company, but hell, it is bloody annoying.
Malaysians adapt this culture very well, you can see this in government offices.
Malaysia government agencies tends to get entangled in bureaucracy, almost to the point of idiocy.
That's why people are cynical with Government. Bureaucracy, plus the increasing cost of living, increased life's pressure. Inefficiency in whatever reason is deeply hated.
If the staff made mistakes, well it depends, because deep inside everyone knew, the current employment market is panicky, they couldn't afford to lose staff and having to hire new staff, with the re-learning process of the job taken, etc.
But staff is replacable, nevertheless. No staff is more valuable than the company. Company is there to make profits based on project progress, the engineers are there to make it happen.
This is the bloody truth that most younger generation in construction do not perceive.
Most junior engineers, they ain't humble and too proud of themselves.
Being answerable with integrity is getting rarer in Malaysia.
This week, there was this political party Umno Main Assembly 2015, in Malaysia, televised in most TV channels at prime time.
Any long winded speeches that does not solves problem, and doesn't entertain you, what's good in that?
Problem not solved yet long winded talk. Inefficiency in whatever reason is deeply hated, and this political people still wondering why younger generation so cynical of government.
I kinda pissed off even with my fiancee, (if you read this, dear, 0_0 ), just tell your problem in simple summary, then I'll fix it for you.
If you want to tell it as a story-telling so I can understand you more, don't.
Tell a guy a problem with the intention of getting it fixed.
Problem not solved = inefficiency. Inefficiency in whatever reason is deeply hated. Your well-intent story telling are just bureau-critics to our mechanical mind.

It must have been love
Lay a whisper on my pillow,
Leave the winter on the ground.
I wake up lonely, there's air of silence
In the bedroom and all around
Touch me now, I close my eyes and dream away.
It must have been love but it's over now.
It must have been good but I lost it somehow.
It must have been love but it's over now.
From the moment we touched, 'til the time had run out.
Make-believing we're together
That I'm sheltered by your heart.
But in and outside I've turned to water
Like a teardrop in your palm.
And it's a hard winter's day, I dream away.
It must have been love but it's over now.
It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without.
It must have been love but it's over now,
It's where the water flows, it's where the wind blows.
It must have been love but it's over now.
It must have been good but I lost it somehow.
It must have been love but it's over now.
From the moment we touched, 'til the time had run out.
Yeah, it must have been love but it's over now.
It was all that I wanted, now I'm living without.
It must have been love but it's over now,
It's where the water flows, it's where the wind blows.

Packt like sardines in a crushd tin box
I wrote this entry as I couldn’t sleep, yet I’m bloody tired.
I
just finished ½ hour ago, at around 1am, doing some paperwork for the
job, yet knowing I had to get up at 6am to submit the bloody paperwork
for the job.
I’m feeling helpless and compressed, asphyxiated.
My country (Malaysia) internal politics is like shit. Economy is like shit. Unemployment is a bit rampant, crimes are too.
Recently
3 Indian Malaysians tried to rape a girl in Kajang, but luckily Kajang
folks, helpful like I am, stopped the crime. Heh (smiles).
But rape
incident is frequent in Kajang, once there was a case of girl, who were
just raped, then were thrown off from a pedestrial bridge in Kajang
quite some time ago. And so, I couldn’t really be proud of my Kajang
town, am I?
I once wrote, one of the major problem in people is in
labelling. We like to label people, this and that, commie or democracy,
sunni or shiah, that, we are just like those sardine tin cans. Lots of
labels, lots of values determining its price, yet the insides are all
deep red.
The difference is just sardines tin cans had red blank tomatoes sauce, and us, a flowing bloodbath.
.
Upon
this labels, we fought and compete each other. I read somewhere in
Internet of blonde Austrian girls who were duped into ISIS, and now died
after a failed escape attempt.
In the same time I read about Turkey shooting Russian jets, and Russians fought back.
What
the hell is this world coming to be? I asked this question in
disbelief. I wanted to ask God in this serene Friday night, but hell,
I’m not an ideal Tolstoy-ist
I’m just a lowly paid engineer who couldn’t sleep.
I am feeling Holden Caulfield in Catcher In The Rye. Wondering about this phoniness.
.
Then I realised,
Ah well, this world is shit because it is packt like sardines in a crushd tin box.
Good Nite.
After years of waiting nothing came
As your life flashed before your eyes
You realize
As your life flashed before your eyes
You realize
I'm a reasonable man
Get off, get off, get off my case (x2)
Get off, get off, get off my case (x2)
After years of waiting...
After years of waiting nothing came
And you realize you're looking,
Looking in the wrong place
After years of waiting nothing came
And you realize you're looking,
Looking in the wrong place
I'm a reasonable man
Get off my case (x2)

The Great Principle of Justice and Truth in Malaysia
If you live in Malaysia, you will know this is bloody true.
I guess it’s true in other countries as well. :3

Site progress
I had a lot of "facepalm" moments throughout this week.
Story 1 :
I
received some materials from Man-Con for installation, so, I asked my
junior engineer, local uni grad, a malay, to prepare "material received"
form, so that the activity can be documented.
I waited half day for that, since I was busy with site walk.
Turns out he's incapable of producing such a simple form/document.
He plainly told me, since there's no document sample, he couldn't make it.

440 / 432 (edited 22 Nov. 2015)
1. I blog this video because I liked the acoustic playing, and I want to learn this.
2. About the 440 Hz and 432 Hz thing, you go and read this.
I'm not really bothered by the frequency stuff anyway. I favour any good guitar playing.
I don't really buy the 440/432 arguments,

Present Tense
Do you see the way that tree bends?
Does it inspire?
Leaning out to catch the sun's rays
A lesson to be applied
Are you getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
You can spend your time alone, re-digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who can't forgive yourself,
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense
Have you ideas on how this life ends?
Checked your hands and studied the lines
Have you the belief that the road ahead, ascends off into the light?
Seems that needlessly it's getting harder
To find an approach and a way to live
Are we getting something out of this all-encompassing trip?
You can spend your time alone re-digesting past regrets,
Or you can come to terms and realize
You're the only one who cannot forgive yourself,
Makes much more sense, to live in the present tense

Putin Tells Everyone Exactly Who Created ISIS
I will be criticised by my fellow Muslim friends for posting this.
But I think Vladimir Putin is right.
Just because Russia sent its army to Syria doesn’t mean that Russia is wrong.
I ask you to consider this views and make your own assumptions.
If you read Robert Fisk’s book, The Great War of Civilisations, war is always being shrouded in religious, race labels.
But in the end, people will have the extreme gut to kill each other because of extreme hate and Profit.
In the end, Nations and People fight for politics, to increase their power for the sake of obtaining Profits.

Maths
I remembered on 2013 when I tendered my resignation from a project abroad and came back to Malaysia quite broken.
I didn’t start work until September 2014, and it was around those period when I started this Tumblr and Blog.
I learned about my family crisis, the divorce and the conflicts, which somehow unsettled up to this day, but I learned the truth during those period.
During the same period, I ended a relationship with special someone also.
I find solace, in reading books and re-learning things, especially mathematics.
I remembered then learning about Godel’s Incompleteness Theorem..asking people here and there how to understand what Godel try to convey.
I just find the solitude in learning simply because of this one factor.
In mathematics, there is simply logic and truth..the idea of value and logic, relieves the pain of feeling emotional.
Mathematics, physics, are somehow mechanical in nature, and in its honesty, somehow made me feel better about life.
Its clockwise precision doesn’t betrays. It is honest as it is. Unlike people.
Then there’s one thing about these mechanical knowledge that made me more open-minded, I will share you my secret.
Everybody saw about the mundane things, but there will always be someone who looks at it differently, in a different view. And that’s when improvement of knowledge happened.
For example, people knew about electric from the 1500.

For example, people knew about electric from the 1500.
But it was Benjamin Franklin, who is a businessman, who named the term “positive” and “negative” to the electrical charge.
To him, Electrical charge can be viewed in credit and debit, like in accountancy, and in nature, the charges will flow to cancel out and balance each other.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Rnr_qnpx8s
Everybody saw things falling down.
But it was Newton who viewed it different, why the apples fall down but not the moon?
Because moon has a velocity. Without Earth's gravity, the Moon will move in a straight line with its velocity.
Due to gravity, or the pulling motion towards the center of the Earth, the Moon moves elliptical to the Earth.
Hence the Newton's First Law of Motion :
Every body persists in its state of being at rest or of moving uniformly straight forward, except insofar as it is compelled to change its state by force impressed.
Therefore, if I couldn't understand something, I have to view it differently.
If some people understand it but I don't, then I have to learn to view it from the perspective of the people which understood it.
Don't simply reject. Try to view it.
But it's normal for people to reject it outright as we people, have finite time in our life.
The shortness of our space and time sometimes forced us to only process our diminutive experience rather than learning new ones.
I write this, because I'm sickened by what's happening in my life and generally what's happening in Malaysia.
The economic power is going down,
standard of living going down,
crime rates increased as people are more oppressed to make life better.
Politics lost its good nature.
Only in reading and viewing this "academic" materials, I felt honest for life.
There's no lie in maths.
Its clockwork precision is brutally honest.

Nihilism / Friedrich Nietzsche
I don't say this is the truth.
I just feel, to seek understanding, you might view worlds under different glasses.
You might be absorbed with the colours,
You might be absorbed with the reflection and the luminiscence,
But wonder,
Why the definition of truth varies under different glasses.

Diatribes
Beginning in 2008, additional countries joined the discussion for a broader agreement: Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, the United States, and Vietnam, bringing the total number of participating countries in the negotiations to twelve.
Participating nations set the goal of completing negotiations in
2012, but contentious issues such as agriculture, intellectual property,
and services and investments caused negotiations to continue for
significantly longer.[7] They finally reached agreement on 5 October 2015.[8] I
